    Network Initializing

    Hello

I have an es4520c that the message network initializing never goes away. I have run the 08 693 with no change. I have replaced the system board with no change. The new system board worked in another machine so I know it is good. I also have an es555 that is hooked up to the same network that does not have the issue. I switched the cables and ports with no change. Unfortunately I did not have firmware with me so that is the only thing that I did not try. Other than updating the firmware does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thank you in advance

Have you tried the hard drive/firmware upgrade. Might be worth checking the memory on the system board to. While this all happens I would leave the network cable out. Have you tried printing directly from a laptop to the machine not via the customers network.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

If you've already tried the sys board, then neither 08 - 693 ( hard NIC reset ) or 1119 ( soft reset ) will make much difference, did you try a normal format of the HDD? ( 08 - 690 ) as that way you won't disturb the firmware.
Do you get the Network Initializing message with no network settings in the machine & the cable disconnected?

A long shot, but is the correct serial number in the sys board ( in the NVRAM ) as if the serial number in sys & logic don't match you'll get weird & wonderfull things happening.

I once had a 3510c that kept saying the same message & it was the DDNS name ( customer had made a change on the server ) , I deleted the DDNS name through top access & the message went out.
