I have a customer with a e-Studio 357. I set up scan to file templates for each person in the office to scan to their corresponding file on the server. When someone scans to file, there is a pause between pages about every 8-10 pages for about 3-5, sometimes up to 8 seconds. This is a mortgage office so they are scanning large files and it is taking longer than they are accustomed to with their previous machine. I am not sure what could be causing this other than a communication issue with the server. Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Pause between scanned pages when scanning to share file
This is not typical behavior from the scanner. All eBX copiers typically scan the entire document at full rated scan feed and send the file to the target folder via SMB very quickly.
What type of server is your target?
In your scan template, is the format PDF-Multi or PDF-Single? When the user opens the scan folder, is the completed scan what the customer expects to see?
Is the e357 at latest firmware V1205?
To temporarily avoid the network, try scanning to eFiling. Do documents arrive promptly without any pauses and in the expected appearance?
Are your scan templates scanning in colour? At 600 DPI? All creating much larger file sizes.
