    Scan to email

    Hello

I have been setting up scan to email for customers on Toshibas for a couple of years. Normally I use gmail but in some cases I have used live (used to be hotmail and now is outlook) accounts. All of a sudden a number of customers started calling me within a day saying the scanning has stopped working. I checked the log and they all say SMTP Authentication. Here are the settings that I have been using

    Enable SMTP Client Enabled
Enable SSL Accept all certificates without CA
    SSL/TLS STARTTLS
    SMTP Server Address smtp.live.com
    POP Before SMTP disable
    Authentication login
    Login name email address
Password password for the email address
    Port 587
SMTP Client Connection Timeout 30 seconds

The fact that a number of different clients all using live accounts have had the same issue leads me to believe that something has changed. Does anyone know what might have changed. I have set up a shop machine for testing and am having the same issue.

    Thank you in advance

    Re: Scan to email

Had the same thing happen. Could not get it to work, so I changed to a yahoo account and it worked fine. For yahoo use smtp.mail.yahoo.com and for login just enter the user name, you do not need the @yahoo.com. Use port 25.
