[Misc] Lookiing for a upgrade to scan on Toshiba E-Studio 550

Hi,
I have a great running E-Studio 550 in my shop that I want to sell but I don't have scan capabilities. It has the 810 Series Controller in it. Anyone know if I can get an upgrade for this or is it not worth trying?

There is no "dongle" for this series, you need the GL 1020 controller. You might be able to find one on ebay. Emujo

ah yeah, you're right, i forgot it was the original amazon like the 810 etc... you can't even get parts for them anymore

If you need a GL1020 controller, you need to forget about the idea. The GL1020 was a horrible solution, overly complicated and very prone to crashing. Tech support is no longer available.

byrnb I am cannibalizing a 810, and I am going to find out if "will it shread", and it has the GL1020 controller. I just joined this forum yesterday. Is there a place for for sale / wanted parts? I don't seem to see one. Or it will be posted on ebay. The unit was new in the box about 3 years ago. Also have another one that stopped working, hence the replacement.
