    ES 206 with C440

We got a head scratcher here, studio 206L that keeps popping a C440 code, the LGC pwb and fuser were both changed out about 3 months ago as per tech support, it ran fine up until recently, now its throwing the code again, when you go into 08-2002 the fail code is 9, we can reset it, and it will run, but for how long is anyones guess, we have it in the shop now, was a lot of dust and pet hair, its at a local Humane society, so you can imagine what came out when we blew it out.

We have done all the usual stuff to it, check thermistors, firmware, ect, change lamp screws in the fuser, there is no rhyme or reason as to when, just seems to do so at random, even more so now after firmware update...any ideas???

the fuser error is also caused by fluctuation in voltage we have a big problem with that here as we have load shedding quite often and when the power comes back on it spikes then it gives the error c440

I agree with above post. Seems like a power issue. We've had issues with that over the years. Put a line filter on that provides neutral to ground filtering and see if that improves things. You may also need a unit that provides voltage regulation. We've used the Tripplite LC2400 with good success. In some places I've had to use an ESP line filter plus the Tripplite to eliminate the fuser codes.

Just to give a update, we had it in the shop for a while, swapped power supplies on it, did ok, swapped back its original Power supply, so our Toshiba rep could see if any problems would happen with the original power supply, well we ran the crap out of it in the shop...and you know what, no fuser codes, sent it back out, so far, knock on wood, so good.

Thanks for posting an update. I'll be interested to hear the end result of this issue.
