    Re: Toshiba Firmware

dear TOSHIBAGUY, i read all the thread about you having a firmware for tosh. Im just thinking if you also have a FIRMWARE for Toshiba e studio 3100c with Fiery x3e+ print controller ( built-in). Its an old machine buts its so effiecient not until it won't print anymore. If you ahave a firmware for this old baby, i would love to have it and will be greatly appreciated. PM me or email me if there will be any cost at your end. Willing to pay in a reasonable price. Thanks in advance. My email add is edwardt@freshpoint.org

Thanks, I am having trouble printing and found a driver site that states (The e-Bridge controller must be at firmware version
T350SY0X4006 or higher to be compatible with following drivers.
            )
does anyone know what the last letter difference between T350SY0E.... and The T350SY0X.... are. Are they a country code?

            the original firmware is T350SY0X300.
            Which firmware do I need?

              You need v4006.

What are your exact printing issues?

Every time I send a Print the Print Data light flashes and flashes and Flashes and nothing happens. Machine won't shut down after that. Turn off from switch.

I have tried through the USB network and Parallel port but all doing the same issue. Yet the copies are perfect and scan is OK as well.

Also have tried many different drivers.

That can also be a RAM issue.

This machine was given to me as the guy couldn't fix it.
When I first got the machine it would not boot and no screen so I took 1 ram stick out and it booted after that.
                      The Ram was a mismatch.

Did you replace the RAM or just leave it out?

I just took out 1 bank out of the 2. It now has 128mb in 1 bank
I think the guy that gave me the machine tried to upgrade and added the extra.

From memory, you need all the RAM slots populated as each stick of RAM performs a different function and it would sound like you have removed the print memory which causes the issue that you are experiencing.

I will try to find an extra stick. Do you know if that is standard PC ram PC133?

                                Can't remember sorry.

It may look like standard RAM, but sometimes it can be vendor specific.
