Xerox website list the latest firmware as the version below. Is there any later firmware available? I have a few issues with this version I am hoping an upgrade will resolve.WorkCentre 7525/7530/7535/7545/7556 System Software v061.121.224.18803

Xerox has 2 types of software. General Release software (usually found at xerox.com free to download) and Spar software.
A Spar software may have been created for a specific problem that a specific Xerox customer is having and may not work well in other environments or a Spar software may be the working / test software that may contain fixes not found in the general release but also may contain bugs that can cause other problems. A Spar software that is a work in progress may go through many levels and months / years of testing before it is deemed safe enough to become the next general release software. Spar software is not made available to the public as it can cause additional problems.

My main issue is the length of time it takes to process e-mails under certain circumstances. After running the machine for a while (could be anywhere from a few hours to a day or 2) and sending emails and frequent print jobs the e-mail sending is useless. E-mails can take 30-40 minutes to send, if the machine is rebooted and i check the job queue quickly I can see the back log of e-mails go out one by one in under a minute each. The workload on the machine varies significantly daily so this is perhaps why the issue occurs at different time intervals. It is most likely related to the number of jobs done since the last reboot.

I have three of these machines running the latest firmware that experience the same issue. It happens most often on the unit used most frequently.
My workaround has been to reboot the machines nightly through running the disk scrubbing feature that forces a reboot.

Have you alt booted them? even to the latest 18803 General release FW?

That would be my first step here.
            Yes, I am a nerd.

Nice but the only real problem is he has a color machine.
I dont think he want to migrate to a black and white copier.

CONTROLLER BOARD FAN! Did you replace it yet?
This fan can destroy CONTROLLER BOARD,and before this issue the WC is responding very slow from time to time.

Try scheduling an image overwrite daily for a time when machine not in use.

                          Replace:

                          SBC fan 107K02810
                          SATA Cable 962K40460
                          HDD also worth replacing

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check each machine to ensure the fans are working. I'm guessing your fans were dead and then the controller board died?

I have a client who killed a controller board recently and we replaced it. Not I am worried their fan is dead and the machine is going to kill the new board! Will check that fan asap also!

Thanks you for the suggestions. We are running image overwrite on STANDARD nightly so the machines are freshly rebooted in the morning. Maybe we should schedule a FULL one to give the drive a good scrubbing?
