There are two interlock switches for the fuser door. One is a magnetic reed switch on the left side. The magnet for this switch is glued to the front fuser door panel and can often become dislodged. The reed switch could be bad, or have become disconnected. Then there is another switch on the right side of the fuser drawer that should be checked. If you don't have a service manual, this could be tricky to troubleshoot.
