The machine is set up to print fax confirmation reports on error, but sometimes will print them for a successful completion as well. The only thing I can see is on the lower right hand of the report is a number which indicates what I guess is the modem speed, and for the successful fax confirmation reports that number ranges from 14.4K to 28K. The fastest analog fax speed I am aware of is 33.6K, so while those faxes were sent successfully, it appears they were sent slowly, probably because of temporary phone line noise or something.
So am I right to assume the machine considers a fax sent at anything other than top speed as an error, or did I do something stupid?
