This is stupid question - do you have pws because the manuals are available in edoc format ?

Why stupid? This is my first time with Xerox. I have a couple of Canon copiers and all have SM in PDF format. If Xerox does not then either help or not.

These Xerox manuals are not in PDF format. They require locked software to use them.

Thanks. I have only XEROX DIAGNOSTIC PWS TOOL but I believe that this is not the right software.

No, you need your laptop set up with GSN Lock and the software installed.

Re: Xerox 550 and 700 manuals

I'm considering selling the software necessary to load the PWS, choice of either 9.7 on WinXP or, 11 for Win7. I have EDOCs that cover almost all the products.

If I don't have to provide the hardware (and I always did provide a high quality laptop to host the software), I think that I can do it for $250

I sold a compete PWS turnkey unit for years, built on new or factory refurbed laptops. My last PWS had about 75 EDOCs on it, all the diagnostic tools, SNAPs, etc.
I was the first one out there, started with a Compaq Amarda 15 years ago.

Now, I only do licensing for FreeFlow and DocuSP servers, but I still get asked for a PWS by old clients.

Is there a sufficient market for this product?

Easier to sell it as a VM machine. They are moving away from edocs to a cloud based system so anything you sell will have a short shelf life.

                    Thanks for the advice!

I'm a little conflicted, as you can tell from the post And, out of touch.
It was a great little rice bowl for many years, probably forget it.

XEROX also have pdf format manuals but not for all models.
