Xerox 7125 USB SCAN KIT, 497K04810

Must i really purchase a scan to USB kit to use this feature on the 7120? P/N 497K04810

Any chance I can just enable this with a code? Is it a physical part? Machine has a USB port on it, was covered but it's there.

Anyone know if this is a hardware enabler or a code? What do you get when you purchase it?

If it's hardware I can transfer it from another machine so hoping someone has experience with this.

Hello I have tried this code on two printers WC 7120. Firs machine has enabled this function now but second hasn't. Do you know why second machine does not displayed Scan To Usb icon on the main screen? Machine reboot after entering key but this Scan function is still not available. Shoulod I enable it somewhere else? I do not want run NVR initialization

Yes you simply need to enable this feature to be shown on the home screen. Login as an admin on the touch panel and go to System Settings - > Common service settings--> Screen Button settings. Inside this menu go to Services home, you can add and remove he available features on the home screen here.

Your welcome, the interface on this machine can get quite annoying trying to find things. Pitty they didn't just put these options on the web interface.
