My Xerox has a manta ray on screen

Phaser 8560. Customer called with a false jam showing. When I arriaved, the main power switch had been cut off and I am sure they did not power it down properly. When I boot up, it sticks at 16% and code 7 for print head tilt error. The manual says unplugging it and letting it set for a few hours may reset it, so I unplugged it and left and went back today. When I booted the machine, it sounded like everything was moving, however the screen did not go to the Xerox logo, instead it has what appears to be a manta ray, wit a different code on it. The code was not a normal Xerox error code, and I can't fint the paper I wrote it on. I know it was not in the manual. Can someone clue me in as to what is going on. Should I pull the plug and try to reboot again?

Well, while we wait for someone smarter than me to show up, I do have one guess about the screen. It kind of sounds like there was an inertial impact that allowed the liquid part of the LCD to leak out. So I'd guess that thing is done.
I'm still a Xerox noob, but from what I've seen so far I'm pretty sure the bat signal is not something that should show up on any display.
Sorry if that was a waste of time.

I went back, pulled the plug and rebooted. It came up this time, showed a false jam, then told me to empty waste tray. It would not come out. The customer had been hinting the whole time that they wanted a new one. I ask if they wanted me to continue and they said no, so I pronounced it dead.
