Xerox wc 5790 output tray 1 message

I have a big finisher attached to one of these with a message on the screen saying
output tray 1 out of service check for obstructions in output tray 1

but there is no obstuction or jam

Could it be a sensor arm thats missing that i cant find?

i took the top cover off and removed a motor reinstalled it back together and it works for a short while

i have no xerox experience

please help

Select Machine Status and locate the fault (error) history. Report back what codes are displayed when the message shows up. Finisher faults will start with 012-xxx or 312-xxx.

The output tray message can come up if any of the following are not working correctly: Ejector assembly, Hole punch unit, Stapler, tamper assembly.

It's usually problem with Ejector movement. It goes on two rails, and those rails got greasy, and ejector stucks.
I use WD40 to spray bushings and rails, and manually push it until it goes easily.

Bojans, that is true with the 2KLCSS finisher (can also be caused by the tie wrap cutting into the ejector wires) but he had a HVF on a wc5790.

I have two WC 5755 with HVF and some CQ 92xx and 93xx with HVF

Gear box is most replacable unit. ( motor become defective )
