[Misc] color qube 9303 lock up

Hello I have two machines first machine is locking up when scanning to email and coping when they try to run another sheet through or job the first job goes through, if that makes sense! The second machine will not hold the defaults for only one week then changes back to the two side and full color as defaults, I set up the defaults on the machine instead of the browser,thought I would see how that works, I'm not holding my breath! I told the customer they need dedicated power and a power conditioner for both machines. Both machines are in the same building. Thanks

I'd be doing a forced altboot on both and starting again. I've had qube's do weird things because of firmware. One particular machine I did firmware 3 times in one day because after ever software load it would have a different, weird problem.

Thankfully they're completely discontinued now, time to sell them a new laser model [emoji6]

I'd also be doing an all software reset in the troubleshooting menu

Thanks again we just sold them one of these machine to them because they like it so much! I don't have any way to upgrade the firmware but I have one of there old machines, same model I could swap the main board. Is the firmware stored on that board, the one that slides out from behind the scanner? Thanks!

Firmware spreads itself across multiple boards and they all have to be a matching level. Firmware upgrade is easy and firmware is downloadable straight from xerox support website. No login or anything required so anyone can do it.

What firmware are they on as the new connect key firmware is very good. Big improvement over their original firmware.

Not sure what firmware they have. If the problem comes back where do I access the firearm, through the browser?

Properties > General > Upgrades

Latest firmware starts with 72.xxx

I upgraded one yesterday from 71.xxx
