WC Pro 35 - Error 14-563

Xerox WorkCentre Pro 35 in our organization displays "copier and printer unavailable" and scanner failure messages (code 14-563.00) on start up. I'm unable to find out what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem:


Scanner fault with 14-563 code. Noticed that the Scan Carriage would stall as it moved to the right.


Cause:


Upon close inspection of the optics, it was found that the silver strip on the inboard Half Rate Carriage had come loose and was interfering with the Carriage.
