    WC 7425 HDD format

We have a customer wanting to donate a WC7425 to a church. They have account codes turned on and would like that turned off and the HDD formatted. Not sure if formatting would also disable the account codes. Can anyone provide a procedure for them to perform this?

    Thanks,

    Dwayne

I would strongly recommend that you do NOT reformat the HDD. Unless you have the software to reload back on there. If you want to clear out the entire machine of anything in there I have the solution for you. It is an Initialization of the machine. This is what I do when I get these machines in and they have Username and Password. Go into Service Mode - go into DC131 - Initialize each one Copier/IOT, Network Controller, Finisher. Click on Button and VIOLA it is done. Once done exit out of Service Mode and select "Exit and Reboot'. You will have to go thru the Install Wizard that will pop up, and enter the date, time and fax info if handy. If not the lucky recipient can do all of those thru the control panel.

        Hope this helps
