Re: xerox 5755
This is a common error and occurs on the left side of the machine behind the bypass tray door. The 08-151 refers to the wait sensor jammed before it gets to the developer assembly. Open the left door and you will see paper feed units from the trays, now follow that up to the rounded black piece as though it is going into the machine. There are 3 black sensors, push them up and down to see if they move freely. If so close door and run job again. If that doesnt work then put paper into the bypass and make a copy using bypass tray. This will narrow down which sensor it is out of the three. If everything jams you will have to change out that part those 3 sensors. Make sure that the left door is secured / latch correctly. This is not a hard procedure to perform if you have a little mechanical know how.

Re: xerox 5755
Try feeding from different trays to make sure it is not a timing issue due to worn feed rollers in one particular paper tray. If it only jams from 1 tray, you will need to inspect / replace the 3 rollers for that feed head. If you have an older style 5755, each feed head only has 1 set of double rollers. With the older style feed heads, it is possible to remove the long grey rubber tires from their hubs and flip them inside out and reinstall them. With the left hand door open, you will see 2 sets of black rubber rollers. Try using some WD40 on a cloth rag to clean these black rollers, after wipe them dry with a clean dry cloth rag. You also want to make sure the white rollers on the door are also clean and turning freely. Wipe down the paper path along this area to make sure it is free of dust / dirt / paper scraps. Make sure when you close the left hand door that it latches all the way. Inspect the door hinges for damage / cracks. If the paper that jams in the left side looks like it has skewed as it was feeding up toward the registration rollers, you may have worn ribs inside paper trays 3&4. Open the trays to inspect the area inside the tray closest to you where the edge of the paper passes. If you see paper cuts in the plastic, this can be causing the paper to skew as it feeds out of the tray and can be causing jams on the left side. You can use a file/ sandpaper / emery cloth to smooth out these cuts. Hope that helps.Comment
