XEROX WC 7775 Unresponsive ui keys and power switch. !!

It's not the touchscreen. I have replaced the lvps and hvps.
The machine would goto sleep but then in the am would not turn on. So you would turn it off. But the power switch ( paddle switch on front right) would not turnoff the machine. It never turns off? So you unplug it. Plug it back in and it works. Huh?

Whats going on? I reinstalled the firmware ( FORCED_UPGRADE) alt boot using usb. Seems to be fine.

But it we recently had the same problem even after I turned OFF the sleep function. it goes into low power mode in 240 and sleep mode set to 0 so it would never sleep thinking that turning that off would solve the problem.

    HELP!!!

Re: XEROX WC 7775 Unresponsive ui keys and power switch. !!

Problem: Machine will not exit Power Saver mode. UI may be locked up. Powering the machine off then on will allow it to come to ready.

Cause: Power Saver settings are not set correctly for the IOT and the Network Controller.

    Solution: Perform the following.

    - Enter UI diagnostics, in dC131 NVM Read/Write, check the following NVM locations:
    <> 616-002 = 1 (low power enable)
    <> 616-008 = 1 (power off enable)

    - Exit diagnostics and reboot the machine and allow the machine to come to a ready condition.
    - Log into CentreWare tools (default is admin and 1111)
    - Select "Properties" tab.
    - Under "General Setup" select "Sleep Mode Settings"
    - Ensure both check boxes are selected. If not, select them and then select the "apply" button.
    - Log out of CentreWare tools and reboot the machine.

This will enable the Power Saver mode correctly for both the IOT and the Network Controller.

NOTE, to disable Power Saver mode, perform the following:

    - Set NVM locations 616-002 and 616-008 to zero.
    - Exit diagnostics and reboot the machine, allow the machine to come to a ready condition.
    - Log into CentreWare tools.
    - Under "Sleep Mode Settings" ensure both check marks are not selected. If they are selected, uncheck them and hit "Apply" button.
    - Log out of CentreWare tools and reboot the machine.

If your power switch is still not working, try replacing it.

if that was a eureka bulletin I will be very disappointed with myself !!!

Thank you very much. We will give that a try today. GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

the power switch does work. Just not when it goes wonky and unresponsive. Looking forward to trying this.
