Xerox Phaser 7800

I have a Xerox 7760 and wondering if it will be a good idea to buy the 7800. Does someone have any experience on this machine ? Does the Led process is equivalent to the laser (in term of printing quality) ?

I read on the web that the firmware of the 7800 is bugged, is it still the case with the actual firmware ?

We've got a few in the field. We don't get callouts on them, we just fire and forget. No firmware issues either.

Thanks for your advices,
Does the led technology is equivalent to the laser technology ? does the quality is the same ? (the 7760 is very good in text too : smooth even for small text output).

We started doing Xerox when they started using LED so can't really compare against Xerox laser tech. The only Xerox Lasers we do are the big production machines.

Generally, the LED quality of our office Xerox machines is very good. Very good solid colour and nice fine detail. We have a phaser 7800 in a graphics environment with Macs and they are very happy with it.

Many thanks for your reply. Well I hesitate with a copier WC7830, I suppose that its very close (same spec for definition) to the Phaser 7800.

Hello,
What is the interest (except stapling) of the integrated finisher option for the 7830 (ref 097S04123) ? does it permit to overcome paper curling problem ?
