[Misc] printing is coming light while doing photocopy

hello everyone, iam using xerox workcentre 5687 , and having some issue. When i am using ADF while doing photocopy , the printing is fine and also the printing is fine while iam taking printouts from my pc. But while doing photocopy from platen glass , sometimes the printing comes lighter and somes darker having a little background. Please suggest me , what setting should i change in the machine or what adjustment , i would have to do . Waiting for your Reply . Thanx

hello it looks like your problem could be the glass or mirror under the glass, just try cleaning those, if that doesn't do anything you can make the image darker in the image quality settings
