WC 7775 can't ping

Hi,

My friend is far away from me, and needs help. I couldn't help him over the phone, so looking for advice here.
He is having problem with WC 7775. He set up everything with network, IP address, subnet mask etc..
When he plug network cable to machine he gets led lights from socket. He also reloaded NC.
But he cant ping machine, nor print to it.
Could it be bad board or something else? I never had this problem.

i would try to connect another device to the ethernet outlet if that works it could be the machine needs to be set to DHCP or STATIC either way you want ive never seen a machine have a problem with the internet plug

I've worked on a minolta that had same problem can't ping with link light on copier & router on, it turned out to be the patch cable maybe they can try replacing the cable. Good luck.
