Xerox WC 4250 Fuser error question

Had a call today on a the WC 4250, customer reported that the machine displayed a fuser error, then they said they turned unit off and back on and the error did not return. I was at the location within 2 hours with a replacement fuser. I asked them what the actual code was and they didn't know( they didn't make note of it), just that it said error fuser not warming up. I replaced the fuser and brought back the one that coded. I installed it in another 4250 here at the shop and so far no codes..runs fine. The fuser has 66k on it.

My question is could the problem be with the power supply? Has anyone experienced power supply issues with regard to the fuser or otherwise?
Just a bit frustrated because the customer did not remember the code displayed and this fuser is at the shop and so far working
When I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm old

I'm going to quote the obvious, so if you have checked, then please understand, it is a "common" problem these days. As most of us know a single outlet, is not necessarily a dedicated outlet. Most fuses in a breaker are daisy chained between several outlets, a couple lights, etc.. What ends up happening is the technician checks to see if anything else is plugged in, but they only check the current outlet.

clients complain, "but it was just working yesterday!" Yes! And today you plugged in another laser printer on one of the other outlets attached to that fuse/breaker.... Make sure you do a load test! The devices are actually pretty cheap and the amount of money they've saved me in time and arguments with clients is PRICELESS!!

The new one you replaced may work fine until it starts to age. At that time it will slightly up it's demand on the amperage it uses and you'll be faced with the same problem...
