Hi all,
thought I would share a solution that I 'hacked'.
One of my X12's stopped working and I stripped it right down and had some serious words with it. After replacing the 8gb hdd with an 80gb it wanted to boot, but came up with a bsod. I then cloned my hdd from my other xp12 to which it booted, but being NT4, very picky, which left the network not working... Soooo... login to Windows and find out that the Fiery locks the KB and mouse when it's finished booting...
It took me a few hours, a few 'new' clones, but I got it!!!
Take the HDD out and slave it on a normal computer. Rename the EFI directory to EFI.old. Return to XP12 and boot. This will prevent the EFI software from loading. Install the hardware and drivers (in my case a1000mb networks card). Take HDD to the other pc and rename the EFI.old to EFI and return back to the XP12.
Easy... when you have no hair left!!!
