    Moving Xerox DC C250

Someone has kindly donated to me a Xerox Document Centre C250.

I just need to move it. I've found an operators manual, but that doesn't tell me how to prep it for moving.

Could someone please step me through prepping a C250 for moving ?

Is it practical to disassemble it and move it in the back of a station wagon (estate) car or do I need a small truck with tail lift ?

    thank you

    Re: Moving Xerox DC C250

Thank you. It looks like I'll rent a small truck with a tail lift.

One more question, I'm trying to work out the running cost. I've got the toner costs & yields sorted out.

I'm just not sure about the drum (or is it drums).

    Drum yield is 35,000.
    There are four drums.

Drum cost per page is 0.7c which I need to add to the toner cost per page of 1.5c (colour) or 0.5c (black) to make a total of 2.2c for colour print or 1.2c for black print.

    Is my maths correct ?

Even though the DCC250 is free, it's going to cost $100 to move it and so far it looks like the running cost is higher than my Lexmark & Kyocera printers, so I'm questioning if it's even worthwhile taking it for free.

Lexmark is 0.9c for black and Kyocera is 1.8c for colour.

Are there any other recurring maintenance items in a DCC250 ?
