What is wrong with your machine that you are attempting to do an AltBoot?
What is the software version that you are trying to install? (I can't read the screen in your photo, too small)

            Try a forced altboot.

On a thumb drive, create a folder named "altboot".
Inside the folder place the DLM file (machine software)
            WorkCentre 5765/5775/5790 File Download

Link above is software available at xerox.com

Create a text file with no data in it.
Name the text file, "FORCED_UPGRADE" all caps just as it appears.
Remove the file extension from the text file, ".txt"
Place the FORCED_UPGRADE file in the "altboot" folder with the DLM file.

Power off the copier. Insert the thumb drive in one of the USB ports in the back of the copier.
Power the copier on. Your machine should enter "software upgrade" mode in a few minutes.
