Xerox Phaser 7800 Toner Levels???

Hi,

I am having a problem with toner cartridges being reported by the printer as empty after a couple hundred prints. OEM and aftermarket. I cleaned the contacts that the toner cartridge touches when you slide in a new toner cartridge. Does anyone know what the printer is reading at end of life of a toner cartridge? Is there a setting in the NVM values that I can check to see if it is defaulting to the correct value? Its running the latest firmware and this is happening to all 4 colors.

Try turning the gear on the end of the toner cartridge. If it is real hard to turn shake the cartridge a few times until it frees up. Even though you install a new cartridge the machine thinks it is empty if it is not getting any toner from the cartridge. Usually you will hear a clicking noise if the toner is packed hard enough.
