Xerox 252 in ""Download Mode"

Xerox 252 in "Download Mode" when turned on.

Don't think anyone has been messing with installing new firmware, have been a few power outages recently.

My first try would be to update the firmware. How is this done on this model? I'm guessing i can't get to the web interface (if booted in "safe mode")

Can't find any results for this online or the service manual. Only advise in the services doc says TBD !

Call Xerox, you need specialized software only the techs have. Even if you have the discs there is no way to interface with the machine without the software.

So this is how it seems to have got in this download mode.

User was trying to boot the machine to screen calibrate, but it went to download mode. They rebooted and when trying to go to calibrate, holding down 1,3,0, it booted fully and worked.
Turns out if you hold 0 on boot it will boot fully and work!

Any chance I can simply swap the main board as a solution? I have a spare machine for parts with a good board.

Wish I could tel you, was trained on it over 6 years ago and never got to work on one. Had a lot of support info for it but when I got laid off and they took my laptop it all went bye bye. I will look around and see if by chance I have a hard copy laying around. Sorry I am not a Xerox fan since getting laid off. Wasn't to impressed with the products I was trained on and never liked the way Xerox treated their own. I will look around and see what i have.
