docucolor 240 white stripe on yellow

    Hey everyone!

I have a problem with my docucolor 240, respectively it prints a white stripe on yellow. There is no error on the machine nothing. I've changed the drum, nothing the same issue.

What's the problem and solution plsssNew Image.JPG

Look at the developer roller and see if there is a void of toner/developer also.

Good point above... visited a C75 with exactly that on the black the other day. Tiny piece of metal on the Dev roller.

Typically, a thin strip of missing toner in 1 color = a chunk of hard toner in the developer housing is stuck between the magnetic roller and the metering blade. This is easy to identify by removing the drum for that color and looking at the magnetic roller on the developer housing that comes in contact with the drum. The developer/ toner layer on the magnetic roller should be even all the way across. If you see a stripe of missing developer/ toner, this will cause a void stripe on prints in that color. You can remove the developer housing, the top cover of the housing and use something thin like paper to push between the roller and the housing frame on top of the roller to knock it loose. It may or may not reoccur. It it reoccurs often, you would want to empty out the housing and install fresh developer.

Typically, a thicker strip of missing toner in 1 color = toner dusting build up on the laser unit windows (located directly above where the drums sit). You can remove the drum tray to get access. For additional access room, remove the transfer belt assembly too.

Remember whenever you have the drums out of this machine, cover them up to protect them from light. If left uncovered, they can get light-shock and cause poor image quality.
