    Xerox DCP 700 registration

    Hi,

I have 5 machines on field and hate the registration on these.
Whatever I do or change it is not good. Usually lead edge on the 2nd side with heavier papers.
Everything looks good on diagnostic and when using pinout calculator, but not good when printing.
Are you having same issues, or it's only me.
I'm working on a couple Ricoh production lately, and it has such a great registration, and it last forever without changing anything.

Almost certainly a worn 2nd BTR. Check it's HFSI service life, it should be under 300,000. If it is over then change it.

Occasionally the locators on the backup BTR assy break off. Take the IBT section out and have a look.

PS. The second BTR can look perfect but looks can be extremely deceiving with these things.

Jake2o, thank you for your reply.

Yes, 2nd BTR causes this problem, also, whole registration section suffer from gear wear.
But, generally, registration on this model vary very often.
All I wanna say, hate registration on this model

I am one of those odd people that actually like the 700, but they can certainly be a little temperamental when the mood takes them.

That 2nd BTR is a very expensive part when you have customers that are running them off contract so they generally run them to death. 300K isn't a lot of prints either.
