Using DTP 34 to calibrate DC550

Hi

I have been using a DTP 34 connected to EXP50 to calibrate a DC550. I got a good offer and I sold off the EXP50 . I connected a COM port to my system and connected the DTP 34 . everything goes fine till i click on measure and then the calibration closes itself. I changed the default com port for the PCI card from 5 to 1 . No change

Any suggestions on using the DTP34 on a normal PC.
