    Colorqube 9303 questions

    Hi All,

Just hoping some of you with more experience can share a bit of knowledge with me.

I'm thinking of buying a 9303 I found a good deal on but have no experience with the machine. I print about 10-15k pages a week with a lot of ink coverage. It's just one print run and then the machine sits idle most of the week.

From what I've seen I think a 9303 will be more cost effective to run than the 242 a d 77xx series I've been using.

Could someone please let me know if the ink is region-coded? Most of the good deals on ink are from the US and I'm in Europe. Also, what's the deal with metered ink?

Finally, as I live in a small, remote village, reliability is a HUGE factor for me. My logic with the colorqube is less parts = less things to go wrong. Can anybody back that up?

Thanks a ton in advance, you guys are the best.

    Cheers,

    Ken

Not a good choice if you are looking for good consistent print quality. The ink jets get clogged when the machine sits for long periods of time. Replacement parts are expensive and the ink melt reservoir and print heads have a high failure rate. I would stick with the 77xx series or even better would be a 560 or 570.

As above. Any cost savings would be wiped out by the ink purges you do to try and clear the blocked jets after sitting idle for so long.

We stopped selling them after our third one and Xerox just didn't get why [emoji23]

I support over 50 ColorQube's and have very few problems. They don't always die.

Cheapest way to run your 15K if you're scamming metered inks.

The DC 240's and 7 series can blowup too.
