    New Xerox will not scan to email with SSL

    I have an issue with Xerox not being able to scan to email with SSL encryption. Whether it be gmail or a regular smtp server, these Xerox copiers will not scan to email with SSL. Yes, all the credentials have been entered correctly and the DNS addresses are correct. If I input a generic smtp without SSL, I don't have an issue at all and scan to email performs perfectly.

    My question is, why on earth will these brand new out of the box Xerox copiers not scan to email using SSL? The smtp servers do require SSL and the port was 465.

    The unfortunate thing is, a cheap brother mfc is able to scan to email using SSL and these brand new Xerox 4260 cannot.

      Windows 7, but when you scan to email it doesn't matter the os.

        Enable advanced network logging and dump the flat file. Search it and find out why it's failing.
