    Xerox DC5000 Subsystem Fault 4 323

    Hi Guys

I have a problem with my DC5000 and I cant seem to find any solutions online. I just fixed a problem with my waster toner bottle and after witching my machine one again, I'm getting a Subsystem Fault 4 323. I have no idea what it is. Wondering if anyone has encounted such a problem and if I could get some help with fixing it.

    Black drum motor failure.
Reseat the black drum unit, check if black developer housing is locked up, or something make the motor to stall.

most probably the drum blade would have flipped.

I appreciate your help on this. I am looking to get the PWS for the machine but I'm all the way in Ghana and would take way too much time to reach me. If I can sort this out by just fixing the drum while I work on getting the PWS I'd be very grateful. Adriansto, when you say the develper is locked, what do you mean please and Davidj7, by drum blade you mean the charge corotron right? Maybe I should just change it and see if it helps. on Start up I do hear a funny sound around the drum side as if something got stopped from moving then after the fault pops up.

If you can't distinguish between a corona and a blade I'd suggest you not to touch this machine...
you can damage something expensive ($$).

Calling a service technician in your area could be a better idea.
          Good luck.

Many Thanks for your suggestion. I tech is always helpful. I'm not very familiar with technical terms but I have worked on the DC6060 and 8080 in the past so I know enough to get round things with help. As I said, I'm all the way in Ghana and these machines are rear. I'm probably one of the few who bring them over so all I have is myself and you really . I'm getting some help privately and I'm very grateful. I think the problem is with the developer housing. I'm going to change thing whole thing and see if it helps.
