[Misc] 7545 Professional Booklet Maker Not Detected

I just bought a new (refurbished) 7545. I had an existing booklet maker. I attached everything and started the machine. The booklet maker didn't come up on the Centreware HTML page, so I updated the firmware. Same thing. The machine uses the finisher's trays and it will staple if I tell it to when copying. But it will not recognize the booklet maker/finisher for me to install a driver for it.

The Centreware page only shows the copier.

What do I need to do to get the machine to recognize the prof. finisher/ booklet maker?

Not sure why its not showing in cwis. But make sure in the driver configuration tab that the proper accessories are installed. (normally turn bi-directional setup on will do it)

Booklet maker may not be plugged in or has loosened upon delivery. When you print out the Configuration sheet does it show up there under finisher? Firmware is not gonna fix this error. I recommend to not download firmware unless it specfically addresses an issue you are having at hand. Open finisher and remove the booklet staples and see if the machine recognizes they are not in. If removed and screen does not ask to install then you have a comm issue between Booklet maker board and finisher board. Check error codes in fault history for numbers or check in diags for description.

Thank for the advice, but I actually resolved this one. It turns out there was a more recent firmware just for the 7545 and 7556. Installed it and it solved all of my problems. Well most. Folding and stapling were off-center, but went into the CSE and adjusted so I'm good now.

On another note, does anyone know how to delete posts?

I am having the same issue on a 7845. Firmware updates, NVM reset. ALT-BOOT was done one machine within the last month.

The finer on the config page says "Xerox Advanced Finisher" and the finisher folder is not present.. 2/3 hole punch is available.

I have tried several finishers on this machine and can't get any to fold or staple, driving me nuts.

Any and all ideas are welcome.

Just did an ALT-BOOT for good measure. Config is reporting "Advanced Finisher" with no punch or folder present.

Still no fold and staple grrrrrrr.

Not multiple transports have been tried in addition to finishers.
