    DC250 w/Fiery x3ety Hangs @ OK, BOOTING THE KERNEL

    Greetings, all--

    Purchased a pre-owned DC250 with fiery x3ety. This is all relatively new to me, but I do have a pretty good knowledge of some aspects.

    At the present time, I have the Command Workstation on my [Windows 10] PC, and all connections secure, lights at the router and the fiery for network are on and steady.

    Could not find the server on Command Workstation via search of IP range search. Plugged in a monitor to the Fiery to see what was up, and it seems that the system is stuck on "UNCOMPRESSING LINUX... Ok, BOOTING THE KERNEL".

    I removed the MB battery, re-seated all HDD connections, power cycled with no luck.

    I do not have the software CDs for this, but I do believe I need to reinstall the Fiery software. I could, of course be wrong.

    Any direction would be tremendously appreciated.

      Check the hdd healty and reload Fiery system software

          The bustled fiery is only suppose to get to that message and hang. There is no graphical interface.

          Does the unit spit out the config page? It comes after about five minutes or less. No page means your in trouble.

                  15 years of servicing them + the picture you just sent demonstrating what i mean.

                      I dont consider hanging at "booting the kernel" a GUI.

                      This is where most arm chair users think something is wrong. You dont get pretty pictures.
