[Error Code] Embedded Fiery on copier shows "FF", won't boot up

When I boot up successfully, usually i see "00" on the Fiery itself. However, I tried booting it up this time and it shows "FF". I have already tried powering it down and back up several times and each time it still shows "FF". When it shows "FF", i cannot connect to the copier.

    What could be causing this?

Bustled? Stick a monitor on it and report back.

Probably you need to reload Fiery software

Yep software corrupt. i think it stands for 'Force Format'
Check that the 2 dip switches on the side are both in the 0 position.

Had the problem a while back and it turned out to be a pain in the backside. We thought it was the hard drive that failed and if it is that, you're in for a bit of a journey.

Our problem ended up being some card had an issue, major problem to fix is the board was that it has a chip in it and that matches 2 other chips on the motherboard. I think 1 is in the video card, 1 in the card that had the problem and the other is on the motherboard. If they don't match it won't work.

You can't take another board out of the same model and put in, the chips won't match. Something about ID numbers of the machine match the chips in the Fiery.

Had to first find the same board from the same model machine, then find a tech that could switch the chips around and put back into the Fiery and after that was all good.

Software reload or new hard disk, which also means software reload. What machine is it?
