    wc5225 with error 124-373

    Customer called with error 124-373 on WC5225. Had same error in 2013 and thought I resolved it by replacing one of the DIMM cards(R1 + R2). Does this sound like a logical solution as I don't have in stock and will have to order? I am thinking one of the cards gives a 124-373 and the other a 124-374 but not sure.Frank

      Can somebody let me know the part numbers for the memory cards R1 and R2. I have conflicting info. Have 133k25440 and I have 540k08772 and 540k08781. Your assistance is appreciated. frank

          133k25440 = DDR DIMM (256mb) for R1 / R2 slot.
          540k08781 = printer PWB
          540k08771 = postcript DIMM (RAM) , put into the printer pwb memory slot

          usually, if RAM related problem.
          1. I will try to clean the RAM with contact cleaner and wipe it clean.
          2. If no 1 does not work, I will try put a healthy ram into the machine.

          IIRC, you can put just a single RAM into the machine and it will just work fine.

                  Just wanted all to know that this turned out to be a drum issue. After changing drum unit the error disappeared. Had to send dimm card back. So this was a surprise and it is good to know for future reference. Frank
