There's a loud popping sound coming from the back left side of a 7665. I removed the back off and with a flashlight couldn't see the motor creating the noise. The copies and prints are fine, nothing in the error log. I am familiar with the waste cleaner, direct pipe and the noises it can make. It does sound like it's coming from that area, but deeper. The waste system checked out ok, the waste bottle is almost empty. I plan on going back tomorrow and run each motor in diagnostics to find the cause.
It will do it at power on, coming out of sleep mode, during a run cycle. It's not constant but when that motor runs the noise is pretty loud, and sounds like a cracked gear, or a gear that is missing one tooth, etc. Any ideas from you techs will help. Thanks!
