[Misc] Xerox C 1000I Error code 10-316

Hi All, we have a Xerox 1000I which was working fine and all of a sudden came up with error 10-316. We looked and found some thread about cleaning the belts as they get dirty etc and the "transport cloth" runns off the rollers. We cleaned and realligned the transport cloth but it keeps on moving to one side and the error keeps on coming back. In the past we printed with the cloth running a bit off the rollers. How can we fix this problem? Anyone perhaps even got a service manual for the machine please.

There is a steering mechanism with steering motor, steering lever, steering arm.
The levers can be easily straightened, or the mechnism entirely is bad.
Also the spring ca be a possible cause.

Service manual only in edoc format. Need pws software for use edoc

Thanks for the answer and the lead - will proceed today to open up the fuser and see if I can find anything. As for the Service manual where could I get it? and possibly also where could one get the PWS software.
