[Jamming] Xerox Workcenter 5050 10-126 Jams Intermittent

This machine will run about 10 copies or so then jam. 10-126 is exit jams and I hear a grinding noise just before it jams. Not sure if related. I have cleaned all the exit sensors I could find. Fuser looks in good shape. I set it to 2 sided and it does it worse. Any help would be so appreciated !!

Most likely the exit sensor is sticking or the sensor flag is worn at the tip affecting timing. I would recommend reaching in with a skinny screwdriver blade or something of that nature and toggling the flag to see whether or not it intermittently sticks. This does happen, but more likely the flag itself is worn. Replacing the sensor flag and/or adjusting the bracket that the sensor is seated in to would be your best bet. How to do that is more art than science. If that doesn't work, replace the whole inverter unit.

I sure do appreciate your feedback. I have spent 2 days on this machine trying to figure it out. THANKS SO MUCH !! I am going back tomorrow
