Last Friday while printing a multipage document on A3 90gsm bond paper the machine stopped and had a belt speed error in the fuser, upon checking the fuser and removing the fuser web i noticed it had somehow (the cleaning web) gotten torn and a piece was stuck and melted onto the external heat roller. I managed to fix the fuser web and also carefully removed the external heat roll to clean the roller from the melted wed stuff. I managed to clean it carefully and returned it to the fuser. I also tried to clean the two thermostats as they were black with dirt. While the fuser was open i also checked all the parts again for wear and tear and problems and all looked normal. After switching on I noticed that the external heat roll lamps did not come on and we got 010-323 (Heat roll lamp warmup fail). Means one or both thermostats were off - check it and fixed it, (one was off and got it working again - a bit of wiggling and shaking - this is what we did on the KM C6500) - anyway, all was fine now, machine bootet and was ready to print again.
Now we have the issue that we can not print on the 90gsm bond paper anymore as it gets stuck in the fuser, constantly, with error 077-116 Fuser exit sensor on Jam. If i clear the jam the machine needs to be reset, as it keeps on telling me there is paper in the fuser (somehow the sensor does not turn off it seems) Also the paper that passes the fuser has creases in the centre in the direction of the paper path. It prints on thicker stock but the moment thinner stock comes in it jams at the same position with a big crease in the centre. (centre crease picture - the arrow shows paper print direction). If i diagnose and check the sensor in DC330 (010-108) it works fine: High with no paper, Low with paper) .
What could this be, how to fix. Where do the creases come from, some pressure too high somewhere? Has anyone seen this before?
