    Bizhub C6500

Hi, i usually work on Canon's but i was doing a PM on a Bizhub C6500. Following the sercice manual the PM went pretty well no problems except after i had finished i now am getting a ghost image.

When i run multiple copies i get a shadow of the first page on the second page. I have checked all transfer rollers and the transfer belt and cleaning blade, everything seems to be working fine. The ghost image is just a light grey shadow, not streaky.

It also only happens when i run color prints. If i just run black copies they look great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      Thanks, Ill check the lamps.

I did run the drum initialization for all drums. I also ran some other service adjustments, no sure if that was one, sounds familiar though... Ill try that.

      Anything else i could check?

Did you remove the red screws, front and back, from the drum units?

Yes, they are shipping screws that keep the cleaning blade off the drum.

One time in a rush pm job, I did the same thing. Ended up taking longer to find the problem then if I had taken my time to do the pm properly. Those things happen when the customer rushes you and stands over watching and waiting.

You should have any problems with PM on C6500 as long as you follow all the steps in the exact order from the service manual in the adjustment section. And remove the red screws

Yeah this was the first Bizhub i have worked on and the PM went really easy following the manual(Just took a few hours). I went back over the service manual and i didnt see it mention anything about any red screws though. I'm going to go back to the machine first thing Monday morning so i will take them out then. Thanks for all your help.
