    [Misc] Toner Dispenser Pipe Removal

I have a WC7845 that makes a clicking noise. I have traced this to a jammed black toner dispense pipe. It appears that the pipe assembly is only held in place by 2 screws in the front and mounts on 2 pins in the rear. After removing the screws the pipe assy doesn't come out easily. Is there another screw holding it in (perhaps accessible only from the back of the machine) or do I just need to pull on it more firmly. I've looked at the parts diagram and I didn't see any other fasteners on the pipe assembly but I'm proceeding with caution.

It is usually the toner cartridge that binds up. Try turning the gear on the end of the cartridge by hand. If it is hard to turn shake the cartidge until it frees up. I believe the black dispense is attached to the color dispenser. They snap together near the middle.

The waste pipe assembly has become a real pain in the A**.

Don't forget after replacing it, to change the NVM 751-085 down from 3600 to 2500 resulting in earlier change of waste toner bottle.

        Thanks for the tip.

          Thanks for replying.
In this case, with the toner cartridge removed and interlocks cheated: starting to print a supplies list I can see that each time the click is heard a puff of toner comes out of the toner pipe.

So, am I correct: the toner pipe is held in by two screws at the front and mounted on two alignment pins at the rear?

            Thanks,

I figured it out. It's a single unit that handles all 4 colors rather than one unit for black and a second one for CMY.
