    Black smudges on 7845

Hi All, new to these machines after having used the DC250 series for a while. Can anyone help me out and tell me what needs swapping to get rid of these smudges?

Also one of my booklet makers will randomly say the paper tray is full, making me restart the job.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ken

Hard to tell, but from the distance the smudges are apart it looks like a bad imaging unit.
Could also be a bad fuser. (Measure distance between repeating defect to be sure)

We have also had a rash of bad waste pipes.
(Not really bad, but failure of waste toner cartridge to indicate it's full is causing waste pipe to force toner into an already filled cartridge. Which is breaking waste pipe assembly)
This is causing loose toner to backup and go everywhere.

So check for that as well.
