    [Misc] No Magenta Image

Hi, thanks in advance for any help.

Working on a Xerox Versant 80 press. The machine is not printing magenta.
Have replaced the dev unit & the drum. Both the drum and dev unit are turning.
Hard stoped the machine and there was no sign of magenta on the IBT.
Toner is going into the chute.
    No error messages.

We had a machine (wc 7125) with fault 'not printing M and C'. It was funny when we checked drum units and the orange plastic cover wasn't removed. It is worth to check if seals are removed. It seams unrealistic but this is a real story and whats more it happened twice .
Sorry if this not help but from that day I always visually check drum before turning the machine on. You also can clean LSU glass and try calibration.

Thank you, but double checked and swapped drums. That was not the issue.

Not sure about the Versant, but many other Xerox presses have a small chip (PWBA CPL 1 board) for each colour on the inside of the machine. You'll need to take out the IBT belt draw and the pull all other draws out and you should see them under where the drum draw connects to the machine when you push it in.

Just replace the chip relevant to the colour that isn't printing.

Drum PWBA PCL or CPL Board

            Hope this helps

My service manual says to check/clean ROS window, check 1st. BTR in transfer belt for continuity and voltage, Developer bias contactor spring and voltage, and clean the ADC sensor. Hope this helps.
