did you do a firmware install via ALTBOOT?
did you follow the manual when you did the HDD install?
the SIM card has to be married to the machine!
are you a tech? do you have the manuals? sounds like you didn't follow proper procedure. -
Re: problem boot in xerox altalink B8090
I am a tech and I followed the procedure from the manuel first time I install the firmaware using Altboot procedure after I add Forced Altboot file, the problem persists and after I changed the hard drive and I insall the firmware but the same problemeComment

Re: problem boot in xerox altalink B8090
what do you mean " I reseat the NVM value after save it " ? did you dump and reload NVRAM data? that could be why he had "toner issues" now you have created a bigger mess ... I RARELY mess with NVRAM ( esp if I hadn't backed it up)
sounds like you SHOULD have reloaded FIRMWARE.Comment

Re: problem boot in xerox altalink B8090
Okay let's just step back for a minute.
The original call was for a "toner cartridge" issue.
A. Check and see if this machine is under a "Billing Impressions Plan"? i.e. PagePack, PerClick, etc...
B. Check the part number of the toner cartridge in the machine?
C. Remove all toner cartridges and try rebooting machine?
D. Does it get to a point where it asks for the toner cartridges?
E. If you install them one at a time, does it continue to boot after each installation?, or does it reboot after a particular cartridge, or after they all are installed?
F. Worst case apply a full "ALTBOOT" and remove all cartridges and see how far you get?
I have a suspicion that there was a mix-up between a "Sold" toner cartridge, and a "Metered" cartridge, and you exacerbated the situation by changing the NVM
