    Hi
After powering up the WC7225,the machine never boots up.The green energy save button stays lite, and nothing else happens.
No display or anything else.I didnt notice anything obvious and cant say I have tons of experience with these. If you can
offer any help It would be appreciated.

Thank you Phil B again for replying.I tried to find Altboot for 7225,but could not find,I have tried many searches.I have found Altboots procedures for
many Xerox machines but nothing for WC 7225.Have you ever performed a Altboot on a 7225? If you have do you have the procedure?
Sorry to be a pain. But if you can help.

As usual PhilB is spot on.

If you are going to be servicing Xerox equipment you should PM "Xtrain" and see about a laptop with all the EDOC's for the equipment you will be servicing.
You should also become familiar with the procedures for a FORCED ALTBOOT as well as the standard ALTBOOT procedure.

Here is the procedure right from a a WS7225 EDOC:

Software Loading Using a USB Flash drive
          Perform these steps:

Create a top level folder on the USB Flash drive named upgrade (not case sensitive).

Copy the WorkCentre_7200-system-sw#pppmmmyyydddrr#.dlm file into the upgrade folder on the USB Flash drive.

          NOTE:

Make sure there is only one file in the upgrade folder.

If possible, complete or delete all pending print jobs. If the prints jobs cannot be deleted, warn the customer that all pending jobs will be lost.

Check Release Notes and currently loaded software. Ensure upgrades can be applied.

Connect the USB Flash drive into any of the USB ports.

          NOTE:

It is not necessary to switch Off the system to perform a software upgrade.

Occasionally the USB Flash drive is incompatible with the system. Replace the USB Flash drive with a Xerox approved model. Restart the process.

The UI power on light will Intermittently light.

The Software Upgrade start screen appears, Figure 2.

The upgrade begins and the progress screen opens, Figure 3.

          NOTE:

The USB drive can be removed any time after the progress bars begin to progress.

The system upgrade process may take up to 60 minutes to complete.

If the process fails, use a Forced AltBoot procedure to recover.

The system reboots several times before returning to a ready state. The system may also display the upgrade progress screen, Figure 3.

After the software has upgraded a software upgrade report prints, Figure 1.
