I have been working on an Altalink C8055 with the errors 04-561 and 04-563. The errors only appear in the web interface and on the display screen it just says: Device not available. System Error: Power off the on. I talked to Xerox who after waiting on hold for an hour and a half had me altboot the latest spar release but that didn't do anything. It was at the end of the day and I didn't have time to wait on hold again. I can't find anything about the 04-561 code and the 04-563 Just says Image Module System Fault and that I had to get from the support.xerox.com page because those don't show up in EDOC. I know this machine had a bumpy ride so I reseated connections I could find on the IOB (I was a Ricoh tech for 11 years so haven't learned the Xerox terms yet), the controller and other boards I saw. pulled components and reseated along with that software update. Im getting ready to spend another hour on the phone but was hoping someone else had seen this.

Update on this. After that firmware update and disable data backup during the machine is allowing me into diagnostics which it wasn't allowing before, just rebooting. The image module unit error spelled out in UI was the K LPH. -

Actually I completely forgot all about this problem until I just had it happen again today and did a search for the error. The print head did resolve the issue.Comment
