Xerox Workcentre 5225- jamming at drum unit

We've got involved with a metered 5225 that the customer recently replaced the drum unit.

It was working ok until then. Now it is jamming at or under the drum unit.

Could it be possible the drum unit is turning properly? We looked at the drum cover and it didn't seem to be causing the problem.

Couldn't put the old drum back in since it was a metered machine.

we went by there toady- think it is the main drive assembly.

    - also tried to delete a fax that kept trying to print but couldn't figure out how to do that. That kept preventing logging in to the service mode

Does the paper Z fold when it jams? check the drum drive coupling, has been known to stick:

Also if the l/h door is difficult to close then check the drum shutter actuator, might be broken which can also cause jams at the drum.

Registration clutch has also been known to cause this issue.

Drum shutter is damaged. Take out the drum and play with the shutter. If it does not move freely up and down they bent the metal bracket. To clear the fax that continues to loop. Turn off the machine and unplug IP Cable, Fax line and electrical plug for 5 mins. Just plug machine in without IP and Fax. Let machine boot up and see if fax job is in there. If not good to go. If it is still in there, power off machine, remove and re seat the Fax Card. Power back on with no IP cable or Fax line. Check Job Status and job should be deleted. Other way around is to power off, remove fax card and boot up machine with out fax card, confirm on UI fax has been removed by Service and put in username and password. Now machine will boot with no fax option. Confirm in Job Status it is gone. If so power down, install fax card, power on with fax cord in, go thru Fax Install Wizard.
If all this fails replace the Fax Card.

          Hope this helps
