    Versalink C405

I know this is a baby machine and I'm not overly familiar with Xerox, but have worked on a few small machines like this in the past.

This particular model is depleted on black and cyan when you print out the test pages or calibration pages.

On machines in the past I have been able to find a DEV refresh function in the user settings which has generally rectified this.

Is there such a function on this product or a force add toner setting anywhere ?

If so could somebody point me towards it please

    Thanking you in anticipation

No sorry, I did not bring any away with me.
It is definitely just lacking toner though, in those two colours as when I got there it had a large spillage of cyan toner from non oem cartridge and the black was not even installed. I manually put a small amount of black in and it improved so I know that is all it is.

Just wondered if there was a quick way to do this or just leave it to recover on its own

Aftermarket toner probably killed the black and cyan drum units.

You'll have to replace the aftermarket toner and both imaging units.

*EDIT* Procedure below... Can't recover imaging units but can confirm toner dispense system is working.

Now enter Diagnostics, and go to DC330, Component Control
          4. Enter 041-001 to turn on the LVPS. Don't forget to press START!
Note: Make sure the doors are closed.
Be aware, in the next step the toner motor should not be run more than 4 seconds!
          5. Enter the code for the affected color; you should hear the Toner Dispense Motor run.
          Yellow 093-004
          Magenta 093-006
          Cyan 093-008
          Black 093-010
          6. Now, remove the Imaging Unit again, and view the toner port. It should be full.
If the toner port is full of toner, then the Toner Cartridge, Toner Dispense Motor, and Toner Dispenser (Auger) are working correctly.
If the toner port is not full of toner, then you have a problem with the Toner Cartridge, Toner Dispense Motor, or Toner Dispenser (Auger).
If the machine ran out of toner and "starved" the developer, toning up the color will not recover the machine, and you will need to replace the Imaging Unit.
